Recently my husband and I had the opportunity to travel to Jamaica for a much needed vacation! We stayed at the beautiful newly renovated Sandals Montego Bay Resort. This all-inclusive adults only resort was perfect for us! We were greeted at the airport with a private BMW transfer and arrived at the resort 5 minutes later! Our concierge level room was located in the very center of the resort in Beachfront Village, just steps away from the beach, with an unbelievable view of the ocean and sunset! Another perk to our room….the soaking tub on our balcony!
This was a special trip as we were also celebrating my birthday. My main goal for this trip was to spend quality un-interrupted time with my husband and to completely RELAX! With 3 busy boys at home, this is often hard to do, but… mission accomplished! From laying in the over water hammocks at Latitudes Overwater Bar (which by the way, is the absolute best bar there) with a frozen Bob Marley in hand, relaxing in a private cabana with butler service bringing us Jamaican patties, laying by the pool, to sitting by one of the many fire pits at night after dinner with a glass of wine, it was much needed total relaxation!
My favorite thing about all-inclusive resorts is that all food, drinks, and tips are included! We dined at Bayside French Brasserie, Soy, Butches Steak and Seafood, and Royal Thai which is located at Sandals Royal Caribbean. Our favorites were Butches Steak and Seafood and Royal Thai with Soy close behind. If you dine at Butches, make sure you try their signature drink which is lime juice, fresh mint, simple syrup, champagne, and Crown Royal. Sandals Royal Caribbean, where Royal Thai is located, is just a 5 minute ride from Sandals Montego Bay with shuttles running every hour between the resorts. Royal Thai is located on the private island which is a very quick boat ride away from the main part of the resort. It’s definitely worth the visit!
While we were sad to see our trip come to an end, we look forward to returning to the Sandals flagship resort in the future! Hopefully sooner rather than later!
